Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

- 1 egg

- 2 cups sliced onions (about 2 large onions)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional for thickening)

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Hamburger Steaks:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, finely chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into 4 oval patties.
